LG has introduced the 1st of many aspects into the concept of the G Flex series including the bendable display and self-healing feature. The latest rumors on the LG G Flex 3 suggest the Korean tech manufacturer is looking to add some speed, power, and efficiency into LG’s newest flagship with the help of Qualcomm.
The Qualcomm 820 processor is expected to be launched and become available for smartphone manufacturers just before the end of this year. If this happens as expected, it should be ready for the launch of the LG G Flex 3 which is expected to be launched worldwide during the 1st quarter of 2016.
Rumors suggest the official launch will come at CES at the end of January, but if the 820 processor doesn’t come until just before the end of the year this may change the G Flex 3 launch from early Q1 until the end of the 1st quarter.
This is leading to speculation the LG G Flex 3 release date will be pushed back to March which is different from mid-February which has been speculated for months now. The delays could be to the actual production times it would take to integrate the new processor, which if the G Flex 3 does go with the 820 chipset does sound practical.
Besides the Qualcomm 820 chipset we’re also hearing the specs will include a 6” QHD display, fingerprint scanner, 4GB RAM, expandable memory, and much more. If the above holds true we’re in for a real treat as the G Flex series has become one of the most anticipated smartphone launches and the release of the LG G Flex 3 looks to be another reason why.
